Job Description : Work Location: Chicago, Purchase, White Plains, or Plano 

Accountability for the implementation & deployment of the Inventory Optimization (I/O) module within the Forecast To Schedule (FTS) Global Process and Solution Design.  This role is the IT Lead for the Inventory Optimization solution as it relates to the global processes defined by the PepsiCo Global Template (PGT).   Ability to provide IT knowledge to enable common global designs, data, reporting and analytics and support the delivery of PGT solution capabilities.

Objectives are to ensure the deployment of the PGT supporting the execution of business processes related to Forecast To Schedule. This role will adopt and adhere to PepsiCo’s SAFe agile principles for the PBNA Wave 1 – PBC deployment project.

 

Qualifications / Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of experience configuring, deploying and managing SAP APO/IBP with a focus on Inventory Optimization
  • 2+ years of SAP S4/ECC experience preferred
  • IT Expertise in Inventory Optimization across multiple business units, preferably, in the Consumer Goods industry
  • Experience in Demand and Supply Planning solution evaluations
  • Familiarity or exposure or understanding and usage of statistical algorithms for inventory optimization is a plus
  • Familiarity or exposure to business and technical processes of demand planning, supply planning, production planning/scheduling and replenishment planning processes
  • Understanding of master data needed for Inventory Optimization including customer and product hierarchies
  • Experience with Inventory Optimization for large projects and programs
  • 5-10 years of project/program experience
  • Provides outstanding customer service skills to direct and indirect customers, resolving very difficult and sensitive issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Prior experience in working matrix organization and handling multiple stakeholders would be added advantage
  • Intellectually curious with a strong desire to learn
  • IT leadership experience with Inventory Optimization projects
  • Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP SolMan 7+, Azure Dev Ops, Quality Center and MS Project
  • Solves highly complex problems within their work team
  • Strong influencing, facilitating and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
  • Consulting background a plus
  • Experience in cross-functional roles preferred
  • Act as the Inventory Optimization IT Lead for the solutions being delivered within the end to end process
  • Drive completion of key project activities in collaboration with the Demand Planning, Supply and Response, and PP/DS IT Solution Design Leads and business partners.
  • Act as advocate of change
  • Understand process interdependencies and ensure the design of fully integrated process solutions with other process teams such as Make To Deploy and Order To Cash
  • Primary point of contact across the PBNA organization for overall status of the IT Inventory Optimization work stream – i.e. the “go to” person
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Global Process Leads, Solution Design Leads and Value Stream Leads on issue resolution and process design recommendations
  • Escalate appropriate decisions making requirements or process “choice points” to Global Process Owner
  • Willing to challenge status quo and ask difficult questions to drive for optimum solutions and outcomes
  • Ability to influence and work through others
  • Open to new ways of working, adopting industry standards and best practices
  • Ability to articulate or demonstrate perspectives and experiences
  • Ability to deliver high quality outcomes particularly under tight timelines
