Dear ITSMF Family,
I believe that we are all ready for a Re-Boot! Now is the perfect time to Re-Think, Re-Imagine and Re-Examine our world and Re-Surge as our best selves in 2022.
ITSMF’s upcoming S1 symposium will provide the best opportunity to fuel our Re-Boot. If you have not experienced the magnificent energy of an in person ITSMF Symposium, then you must to join us March 31st – April 2nd. This will be my first in-person Symposium, so I am especially looking forward to the powerful speakers and presenters, and meeting and connecting with members, potential members, GIPD participants, and corporate partners in person. I am also looking forward to the Bridging Innovation Pitch Competition. The highlight will be celebrating our awardees at the Technology Leaders Awards and Gala and seeing the family all draped in the finest garments – garments that we have had no reason to bring out of the closet over the past couple of years. Or maybe you will be buying a new frock for the Gala? When is the last time you bought clothes other than athletic wear, or loungewear? Looking good and seeing ourselves all dressed up is a part of that Re-Boot.
We must come together during this season of momentum, innovation, and transition! Remember Sunday dinners…. the time for the immediate and extended family to gather to share the good and challenging news, process things, make decisions, and recharge in the most nurturing environment. The S1 Symposium is like the Sunday dinner for our ITSMF Family! Members, Associate Members, Academy participants, our very supportive partners, and guests will all have a seat at the table!
So many things have happened and are about to happen. It is time for the family to come together. We want to see you in March in Atlanta at the Symposium. We are taking significant measures to ensure that we can do so safely. I look forward to seeing you in Atlanta or hybrid if that is the only way that you can participate. Space is limited, register early to ensure that you have a good seat at the family dinner table.
Happy New Year!
About Information Technology Senior Management Forum
Since 1996, Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) has been dedicated to increasing the representation of Black professionals at senior levels in technology to impact organizational innovation and growth. We do this by developing and nurturing these dynamic leaders through enrichment of the mind, body and soul. At its inception, only 3% of senior-level positions in the technology industry were held by Blacks. With a half-million new computer-related jobs expected by 2028, ITSMF is committed to increasing the number of qualified Black professionals for these positions.
