This year marks the culmination of ITSMF’s vision, to graduate a total of 500 professionals through a series of rich, developmental, and career-advancing programs, and do so by being a second family to its members and partners, by 2020. We are happy to report that we will exceed that vision by 135%!
2020 also brings a new ITSMF board who is taking the helm and developing our next vision. It is our pleasure and honor to announce the members of that board:

Michael Buckham-White, ITSMF’s Chair, is a Technology Managing Director for Deloitte Information Technology Services (ITS). He leads the Market Development, Parent, and Transformation portfolios, focusing on driving strategic alignment with the business. Michael ensures customers get the best of ITS across a broad suite of capabilities and serves as the single point of contact on technology needs, including advising on ITS services and offerings. Michael has served on the ITSMF board for six years in various roles and continues to bring a unique perspective regarding the role of this organization and its impact in the industry.

Our Vice Chair, Ibrahim Jackson, brings over 20 years of technology experience for the commercial and public sector industries. He currently serves as Head of North America for the Leading Edge Forum (LEF), where he works with C-Level executives to sharpen their strategy, upskill their workforce, and bring insights about the impact of emerging and disruptive technologies and practices. Ibrahim is a graduate of the ITSMF Executive Protégé Program (now called the Management Academy) and the Executive Academy. This experience and his volunteer service to the organization will bring new insights to the board.
Four of our board members were re-elected to serve a second term:
Lena Hickman-Miott as Corporate Secretary. Her expertise regarding board governance and Roberts Rules has been invaluable as we transition from a managing board to a governing board.
Fern Johnson as Finance Chair. Under her leadership we have developed a diverse fundraising strategy that will help us become a $2.5MM organization by our 25th anniversary in 2025.
Bennette Veals and Dane Bamburry as the Management Associate representatives. They continue to bring diverse perspectives from the associate community while volunteering to assist with the board member at large selection process, programmatic content and planning, and fundraising efforts.
Carla Ogunrinde. will continue to serve on the board as Immediate Past Chair. We remain extremely appreciative of her visionary skills, dedication, leadership, commitment, and passion for ITSMF. She pushed the boundaries and helped us exceed our goals. We look forward to her continued support during this transition.
Please join us in thanking the previous board members, Douglas Ash, Lester McCollum, and Gary Simms, Sr., for their unwavering leadership over the past four years. Their contributions were pivotal in the accomplishment of the board’s goals. We now look forward to the leadership of our new board as we move into this new decade.

And finally, we are thrilled to announce the addition of our first Board Member at Large, Don Neault, who is currently in private practice as an executive coach and consultant. He partners with his clients to heighten their awareness of their personal and career goals. Drawing upon his expertise in assessing talent, his respectful candor and his experience with globally diverse talent ultimately enables Don to help these professionals to see their future and plan their growth. Don has been an ITSMF advocate, sponsor, and brand lover for over ten years. We look forward to his continued contributions to the organization and now the board.

About ITSMF
Since 1996, Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) has been dedicated to increasing the representation of black professionals at senior levels in technology, to impact organizational innovation and growth. We do this by developing and nurturing these dynamic leaders through enrichment of the mind, body, and soul. At its inception, only 3% of senior-level positions in the technology industry were held by blacks. With a half-million new computer-related jobs expected by 2028, ITSMF is committed to increasing the number of qualified black professionals for these positions.
